Oakville, ON, February 16, 2016- The Central Ontario chapter of The Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (CAFE) is pleased to announce that it has named Higgins Event Rentals, a Toronto-based party rental and event rental and  design company, as Family Enterprise of the Year for 2016.

The CAFE Family Enterprise of the Year Award (FEYA) recognizes significant achievement made within a Canadian family enterprise based on history, accolades, corporate image and organizational culture, and acknowledges the importance of the family enterprise in today’s changing economy.

Award Winning Party Rental, Event Rental Company

Higgins Event Rentals, a multi-generational family business started in 1983, was chosen because of its reputation as one of the Greater Toronto Area’s premier party rental businesses, its commitment to its employees and contributions made to the local community and economy.
“We are delighted that an outstanding organization like CAFE has decided to honour us with this prestigious award,” said John Higgins, CEO, Higgins Event Rentals. “The award is a tribute to the tradition of honest hard work that my parents initiated and that our dedicated team continues today.”
As the FEYA recipient in the Central Ontario chapter, Higgins Event Rentals will also be eligible for consideration for the national CAFE FEYA. The national recipient will be announced at CAFE’s national Family Business Symposium held in Calgary, in May 16 – 18, 2016.

The Higgins family will be presented with the chapter award at a gala luncheon hosted at Nova Ristorante in Toronto on March 30. Registration is open to both CAFE members and any interested members of the family business community. For more information, please visit
