At the beginning of summer 2021, events were almost at a standstill. Our shelves were full of all of our equipment, we could hardly imagine being busy again. We heard rumblings from the south that events would come back in a flash once people were vaccinated. Then as the vaccine rate went up the calls started coming in. When we went into phase three the flood gates opened, the phone started ringing off the hook. We have kept up but the last few weeks have been a mad rush.
You could say that events went from zero to sixty almost overnight. Could we hang on? Yes, we could with great planning and organization, with forethought and care for our team, we have managed to keep up with the increased traffic.
This is before Covid. We now wear masks!
How did we do it? Well, we have a secret weapon, our Director of Operations Paul Visaya and Craig McQueen his Dispatcher. John and Dave Higgins made the decision early on in the pandemic to find ways to keep our people employed. We took jobs delivering furniture, flowers, we helped people move, we had teams providing cleaning for film sets and providing sanitizing fogging services for homes, offices and film studios. We did whatever we could to keep our trucks, drivers and warehouse crew working.
One thing we did which had an amazing side benefit was our providing cleaning crew to the Humber River Hospital Vaccine Centre. The side benefit was all of our team have been double vaccinated.

Now that the Vaccine Centres are being phased out our team is back in the warehouse, pulling, packing and moving equipment. We are stocked and ready to go.
