Hot Cookie Station to finish off an event.

There is nothing better than a cookie fresh from the oven.  If you are looking for a fun way to end an event, having a hot cookie station might be just the answer.   Here is an idea for a cookie station

The Setup:

On the 8’ table, set up the Torte Stands on the lazy susans. Set up the 4’ table behind the 8’ table with the oven on the tables.   Bake off your cookies, and as they come, output them on the Torte stand and carefully turn to face your guests.

Can you think of chocolate chip cookies without thinking of the episode of Friends where Monica is looking for Phoebe’s recipe?  Watch it here.  We asked our in-house chef for a recipe. He suggests the one from the  Fannie Farmer Cookbook.  He said to make the batter then scoop out the cookies onto a sheet.  Freeze them, so they are easy to put out on the banking sheets on site.

From The Fannie Farmer Cookbook: “Is there anyone in America who does not know and love these cookies? They were, incidentally, created by a Massachusetts housewife in 1929. The cookies should have crisp edges and chewy centers.”
