Congratulations!

Christian Payne for making the George Brown College School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Dean’s Honour List for the Winter 2017 term.  The Dean’s Honour List is only awarded to those who have earned academic distinction by achieving a Term Grade Point Average of 3.5 or higher.  It awards Christian’s hard work, dedication, and motivation to succeed at George Brown College in the Special Event Management Program. Christian brings his event management skills and the same work ethic to his position as Event Logistics Coordinator at Higgins Event Rentals.

His Role:

Christian joined us in January as an intern. When his internship was over we hired him to be our first Event Logistics Coordinator.  Christians role is to work both in the office and on site to support our customers while setting up events. From directing the team for set up of floor plans, to trouble shooting equipment issues, Christian was a calm and focused force at our events.   Among other events this summer, Christian was the team lead for the Toronto Out Door Art Exhibit in July. Christian was on site all weekend to ensure the vendors were able to focus on selling their art.   Christian took what he learned at George Brown College and calmly and coolly applied his skills to help our customers execute their events without a hitch!
